OH my gosh this is like a bazillion!!! Thank you!  (But also what the hell XD)  Post-Edit: seriously though thanks for these, answering them made me realised a few things!

So this is long. CUT.

1. favorite fic you wrote this year

Um, I actually kinda like all my fics? Like I hope I’m not the only weirdo who re-reads her own fics for fun. (Sure on the reread I’ll notice things I could’ve done better but…it’s also really enjoyable? And I notice and feel proud of the things I’ve done well, too?)

I’m particularly proud of

(I was so nervous I’d screw up Allura but I think I did well) and

the world is out there, my dear, but we’re in here

(that atmosphere was so vivid in my head and I think I did a great job making that come alive on the page).

But I had far and away the most fun writing Smack, Kiss, Fall in Love with @sp4c3-0ddity (I used to wake up super excited to see what Reem had written, let my jaw hit the floor and then go OMG NOW WHAT DO I DO, then I’d get to giggle over whatever I wrote while waiting for her response) and planning out the It’s Beginning to Look Like A Christmas Carol crack collab with @sp4c3-0ddity and @rueitae (I remember spending about 2 hours on the floor of my sleeping kid’s room just laughing silently).

2. least favorite fic you wrote this year

I’m not very pleased with how this drabble I wrote turned out tbh.

3. favorite line/scene you wrote this year

But if we’re fishing for another line, it’d be this part from a Plance WIP I’ve been struggling with.

The rest of him is trembling with anticipation, entranced by the thrill that’s running up his spine as he realises he’s never seen Pidge like this before. Every muscle tense, her dark eyes focused on him and only him, looking for all the world like a lioness about to pounce on her prey.

Lance swallows.

Pidge’s eyes drop to follow the movement, her tongue darting out to wet her lips before meeting his gaze again.

A breeze blows through the savannah, and the lioness pounces.

Ooh. There’s quite a few in the running for this.  Only counting fics written entirely in 2018…

I thought it was gonna be Six Times, Together which…honestly, i haven’t even finished because each chapter emotionally destroys me. It’s incredible. 80,173 words. read it. Gen, kinda whump-y.

But it is, in fact, A Beginner’s Guide to Mindreading (NSFW, bg pining Sheith) by someone who very quickly lodged themselves in my ‘very favourite authors’ list (despite me avoiding that fic for a while cause the title is mehhhh like i can talk tho) at 82,408. Plance, fantastic, if you’re mature enough go ahead cause it’s great.
